Mandalay Bay's vibe is dead, it needs better lighting and a complete refresh in the worst way. I have never smelled a casino so nauseating in any casino anywhere! It was a sickening perfumey smell they are using to cover up the smoke I guess but it was sickening to me.
To be fair, there was a decent amount of some modern slot machines but the worst part of all was the smell. It's dark, dated and all the machines are really far apart so it seems more empty than it is. No it hasn't and if anything it's gotten worse. We decided to pop in and see if anything had changed. Over the years I went one other time and it was dead so we haven't been in a long time until this trip. They get old, the machines aren't updated, and the vibe changes.
